One of the most crucial stages in travelling with your horse is the loading and unloading. Some of the worst accidents can also occur during these stages. Slipping of the side of the ramp can not only seriously damage a horses trust in trucking, but cause serious injury.
TRAVELLING IN SAFETY
To help avoid such incidents DEFRA have now made recommendations that all horse boxes are fitted with rear loading gates. Although most new horse boxes already come fitted with these as standard, many horse boxes still don't have them fitted.
HOW SAFE IS YOUR HORSEBOX FLOOR?
Unlike your local garage or main dealer we specialise in horsebox repairs. We pride ourselves on going the extra mile and checking everything in your horsebox. We make sure that we know we’ve checked everything so you feel confident in the quality of workmanship and the safety of your horsebox.
Below is a letter sent in to Horse and Hound magazine recently. We spotted this and thought we’d emphasise that with Galloways this would never happen. We also like to have peace of mind that every truck we check, is done so properly to the highest standards.
